Blake Street Energy, Inc. (“Blake Street”) was founded in 2011 in Denver, Colorado (USA) by a team of experienced project development professionals, primarily to provide waste management solutions to its clients and communities.  In 2012, Blake Street opened a second office in Moscow, Russia, to develop projects through its Russian subsidiary, Blakestreet Energy Rus (“BSE”). Today, our company offers both Project Development Services for communities or waste collection/transportation companies requiring new facilities for waste disposal, and Waste Advisory Services to help improve the waste management industry in Russia.

Project Development Services

Blake Street Energy’s highly experienced team is able to provide our clients and communities with the entire scope of expertise necessary to fully develop, design, finance, construct, and operate waste separation and steam/power generation facilities. This experience, combined with our strategic relationships and partnerships with technology providers, equipment vendors, EPC contractors, lenders, and private equity investors, assures that our projects are developed quickly and economically, typically moving from concept to construction start in less than 12 months.

Blake Street’s team focuses its development efforts in the U.S. and the Russian Federation, where over 95% of the country’s waste is either dumped illegally or deposited in environmentally unsafe landfills.  BSE works with the world’s leading supplier of automated turn-key waste processing and sorting systems for single and dual stream facilities.  Blake Street’s experience in project waste project development worldwide, including Russia, combined with our capability to source state-of-the-art waste separation equipment, will allow BSE to achieve its goal of becoming one of the largest waste recycling companies in Russia by the end of the decade.

Waste Management Advisory Services

Blake Street Energy’s experienced team in Moscow is able to provide expert advice to its clients on all aspects of waste management.  Given privately-owned waste operations have only recently begun, and regional and federal regulations frequently change, our experience is invaluable to our Russian clients needing accurate advice and insights on how to optimize their business.   Overall, we are able to provide the following services to our clients:

  • Expertise on local and federal laws and regulations related to waste collection, transportation, recycling, and disposal.
  • Waste studies and waste composition analyses
  • Technical and economic feasibility studies
  • Analyzing and minimizing waste disposal costs
  • Landfill-related issues
  • Waste separation equipment technology
  • Fully-comprehensive project development services
